Simon Éva

„Thank you that I can count on you being there...”

My name is Simon Éva, I live in Sândominic with my parents and two siblings. I study in the Segítő Mária High School in Miercurea-Ciuc, I am in 9th grade with humanities specialisation.

Q: If you chose humanities you must be less into natural sciences...

Simon Éva: I don’t like natural sciences, I am more into humanities. I like English, Geography and History. I chose this specialization, because it gives me the opportunity to learn what I consider important.

Q: What do you do apart from studying, what are you interested about?

Simon Éva: I am very keen on reading, so whenever I have the opportunity I read novels. I often watch films with subtitle, because they entertain me, and I can also learn by them.

Q: You have two years ahead of you. What are the things you want to carry out during these years?

Simon Éva: I would like to put more energy in my studies, beside I would like to try out new things, and I would like to take part in voluntary activities. I would like to continue my education after high school, but I am not sure about the „where” and „what” yet.

Q: Why do you consider continuing your education important?

Simon Éva: I think it is very important, because without it I couldn’t make a living for myself. Knowledge is the only thing that no one can take from us, so our future is built on our studies; they help us build a career in our domain.

Q: How does the foundation contribute to your studies?

Simon Éva: The foundation’s help means a lot to me. My parent’s salary is little, so it would be very hard to cover the expenses of the student residence. Thank you that I can count on you being there.
