Nagy Renáta Bea
„I can count on a helping hand in every month...”

My name is Nagy Renáta Bea, I was born on 6 July 1995 in Odorheiu Secuiesc, I live in Zetea. I used to study in the Dr. P. Boros Fortunát Secondary School, and now I am a student of the Tamási Áron High School with philology specialization. I have a wide variety of plans, and if I will have the opportunity I would like to continue my education.
Q: Why did you choose this specialization?
Nagy Renáta Bea: I was already interested in languages in elementary school, I love reading. In the same time I never liked science subjects, instead of solving Math examples I turned the pages of a book. I consider language learning very important because it is much easier to make your way if you have a basic vocabulary.
Q: Preparing for the final exam must take up much of your time, but what are the things you do in your free time?
Nagy Renáta Bea: Preparing for the final exam takes up much of my time, so I don’t really have free time, but I try to use the little I have as productively as possible. I read mostly, look up things that make me curious, spend time with my friends. I like doing sports, summer I am usually out in the nature. A few times I took part in the restoration of carved gates of Zetea.
Q: What did you learn during the restoration?
Nagy Renáta Bea: It was a great feeling, and besides spending a lot of time with my friends, I gained experience. We learnt about the traditional symbols and their meaning, we could advance our painting skills, and we also learnt about new things, for example that the colours have unique meaning, and without taking it into consideration a lot of gates are restored wrongly. Unfortunately we stopped the restoration, even though it was my favourite free time activity. If I will have the opportunity, I would like to carry it on because it is important that the people realise how important tradition is, and how important conserving and passing the old values on are.
Q: What do you do after the final exam? Is it possible that the new world you have met during the restoration will be a future destination for you?
Nagy Renáta Bea: I would like to carry on the restoration of gates as a free time activity. If I pass the final exam, I would like to enrol to the Psychology Department of the Babeş Bolyai University, and I would like to become a successful, popular psychologist.
Q: What does the foundation’s help mean to you?
Nagy Renáta Bea: It means a lot that I can count on a helping hand every month, which not only makes my studies easier, but it also reduces the number of everyday problems. Without the support it would be very hard to cover the travel and school expenses. I would like to thank the foundation for the scholarship I have been receiving for three years. They made me cry again. This support is the only firm point in my life every month.
