I’m Ervin Tanko. I was born in Odorheiu Secuiesc and I have grown up here. Currently I’m a first-year student at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Babes-Bolyai University, doing Bank and Finances.
Why did you decide to apply for the Bank and Finances course of Babes-Bolyai University?
I anyway wanted to continue my studies in Hungarian. I thought that this field was the closest to me. During high school I could get an insight into the business world and mostly this influenced my decision. Anyone who does this course can fill in a variety of positions at a company, therefore I’m almost completely sure that without serious issues I will find a job that suits my degree.
What would you like to do after finishing your studies?
I don’t have a specific idea yet, but I’m sure I’d like to find a job at a private company. It would be great if it wasn’t a monotonous job, namely to have challenges every now and then.
What’s your biggest dream? How do you picture yourself in 10 years?
I have loads of dreams, smaller ones and bigger ones as well. I’m aiming to get a leadership position as soon as possible. I would like to be a determinative member of a company. If fate allowed, I’d also start my own business
What’s your hobby? What do you do in your free time?
I don’t really have a hobby, and I wouldn’t have time for it anyways because of my busy schedule at university. I rather engage with activities that don’t impose a big challenge, because I prefer resting in my free time. I also like spending time with family and friends; often listen to music, watch movies and do sports, as well.
Would you like to do volunteering some time? Why is helping important do you think?
Yes, I would like to be an active member of the society. I think that the only way a society can evolve and move forward is that its members help each other, and I would like to contribute to this myself.
What does it mean for you to be a scholar of the foundation? How does it help you?
It’s a great help when it comes to financial difficulties, as this amount of money covers most of my monthly expenses.
Message for the foundation:
Thank you for the support! There’s a lot of people that don’t continue their studies because they don’t have the necessary financial resources, that’s why I very much appreciate what the foundation does. I will try to return the help I’m getting as soon as possible.
