"Giving is the best communication"

Why have you decided to study geography at the university?

I decided to choose the geography, because I’m interested in the nature, nature conservation and the subject itself.

What do you want to do after completing the university?

After completing the university, I would like to learn some languages abroad and I’d like to make a cabin crew course to be a cabin crew. This is one of the reasons I chose geography.

What is your main dream? How do you imagine yourself in 10 years?

My main and closest goal is to complete the university, but beside these, I have many other little goals. It is difficult to imagine myself in 10 years, because my life can change very quickly, but if I think about it, I would like to be a cabin crew, but I also want kids. In any case, I imagine myself as a person who likes what she is doing, or if not, she is not afraid to change.

What do you do in your free time?

In my free time, I like to read, watch movies, but if the weather is good, I take a trip, I spend time outside and of course I really like to be with my friends.

We found out about you, that you would like to take part in the El Camino pilgrimage. When did you decide this? Talk about this a bit more.

In any case, I would like to go to El Camino during my life, to experience a long pilgrimage as a pilgrim I wonder if I could invent myself in the toughest conditions, and thus to get closer to God and to think many things in my life. From El Camino I got information from a movie, read about it and it grabbed me.

Why volunteering and assistance is important nowadays?

I think the assistance is important nowadays, because I also experienced how good and helpful could be getting help from another person.  Today, I'm sorry that people are becoming more and more obsessed with each other, so it would be important for more people to volunteer and pass on something good and help. There are always and there will always be people who are in a worse position.

What does it mean to be a scholar of the Foundation? How does it help to you?

For me, being a scholar means being a member of a community. Get help and then pass it on. This scholarship is very helpful to me and once I want to support the Foundation.

Message to the Foundation:

Thanks for the help, I learned how important volunteering is, and I plan to support the Foundation.

I’m Annamária Vass I’m from Odorheiu Secuiesc and in this year I’m a graduate student at the Medical and Pharmacy University's General Medical specialization in Târgu Mureş.

You are a graduate student at the University of Medical and Pharmacy of Târgu Mureş. What experiences have you gained in recent years?

Of course, during the years here I had good and less good experiences too.  The main purpose of my stay was LEARNING: life and medicine. I think and experience that although both areas are inexhaustible, but I have gone a long way.

We have learned from you that you also have scientific work. Tell us about your experiences!

One of the deepest traces in me was the part-time training I had at the Surgical Clinic in Pécs. I was involved in the pulse of the class, and I attended specializations, visits and surgeries. This was the first time I could get scrub to a surgery as a member of the team, I was able to participate in various operations.

What are your plans for the future? How do you imagine yourself ten years later?

I would definitely like to practice my profession at home. I would like to become a good specialist. I am interested in surgical branches. Ten years later, I imagine myself as the wife of my loving husband, the mother of my children, the conscientious physician of my patients.

What is your most wonderful dream?

I would like to find the area that God really calls me where I can be, a peaceful, calmly balanced person.

Have you done volunteering? Why do you consider it important?

I volunteered several times in various camps that we organized for young people and kids. Volunteering is always an opportunity for building a relationship and getting acquainted.

What does it mean to be a scholar of the Foundation? How does it help you?

I have a great deal of grace, and I'm very happy to do it. Provides financial safety. It woke me in desire, to help in similar ways.

Message to the Foundation:

I would like to thank and to wish the blessing of the God.

I’m Erika Erdélyi and I’m 16 years old. I live in Gyimesfelsőlok, I have two sisters, one of them is a two years old energy bomb and the other one is 24 years old, who supports me in everything. I study mathematics and informatics in Márton Áron high school, in Csíkszereda. On weekdays, I stay at my aunt’s place and I only go home on weekends.

What are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your free time? You’ve written, that you play handball, go to youth religious lessons, please talk about these.

I have been played handball even today, but not so often. Unfortunately I can’t go to religious lessons anymore because of my train schedule, but fortunately there is a group of faith in the school. I really like being part of this group, I got a lot of friends there with whom I could share anything and at the beginning I felt I had to belong somewhere.

By my new classmate i found a new hobby, which is nothing else, but wall climbing. In Csíkszereda is a small climbing room, we go there 1-2 times a week. I do not often leave home, so I need some exercise.

Your dream is to be an astronomer, why exactly an astronomer?

This is still my big dream, still attracting the unknown. With the new school, I got new opportunities too. On the first week I visited my geography teacher with the question if is any opportunity to deal with astronomy. I was happy to hear that the school has an astronomy group, led by a physics teacher, Bálint Péli. I visited him immediately and I’m still a member of the group. I’ve learnt a lot of new things. The best is, that I could explore the sky with a telescope, I could see the Moon, its craters and its line of terminators more closely. I'm getting a bigger "slice" from astronomy, so the dream is becoming more and more a goal

As you’ve written into your introduction: “once there will be my name in the history books next to Galileo Galilei and Stephen Hawking” – how do you want to receive this, do you already have a specific plan for that?

At the age of 16, did Newton know that he would create the basic laws of mechanics? Did Einstein know that he would be the father of relativity theories? No big scientist knew what they would achieve in life, nor did I know. I do not even know if I would receive my goal, but what I know is that I will do everything I can.

What means for you the volunteering?

In my introduction I’ve written as an example the Youth Meeting in Csíksomlyó, because of this event truly reflects the power of volunteering. This year I would like to be a volunteer, but unfortunately, I missed it. For me, volunteering is a symbol of selflessness, a little good among the many bad things.

In what helped you the scholarship?

The scholarship helped me to cover the half of the cost of the apartment, thus slightly lifting the burden from my parents' shoulders. I spent the rest of the scholarship on food and equipment, thus helping my parents.

Your message for the foundation

My message to the foundation is: what they do, is not just helping to people, but to shape the future as well. The future, is the young generation itself, with this support the foundation gives a chance for the youth to become a valuable member of society, to give more to the humanity, to create a more beautiful future. For me, the foundation is like a good fairy in the fairy tales, who helps you selflessly.
