Kristály Ferenc-Gellért: If it is possible I would like to stand my ground at home, because I think it is easier to live your life at home. If I found a good job, I could help my parents.

Kristály Ferenc-Gellért: The foundation’s help means a lot to me, to us. This money takes a load off my parents’ and my shoulders. It helps me finish my education; I am more self-confident because I know I can count on a monthly amount. I am inexpressibly grateful for every help.

Q: How long have you been interested in graphic art?

Szász Dorottya: I have been drawing since I was able to hold a pencil. Besides I was always interested in music, I used to play the piano for couple of years and I am also keen on literature, but in 8th grade I decided in favour of drawing. Unfortunately I wouldn’t have time for all the three.

Q: Is drawing your hobby as well?

Q: You have two years until the final exam. Do you have any ideas where you would like to continue your studies?

Szász Dorottya: I would definitely like to continue what I started to able to give something for the world through art. I would like to study in English, somewhere abroad, but I can't foresee the future. I am sure that I would use the experience and knowledge I gain there at home.

Q: What does the foundation’s help mean to you?

Szász Dorottya: Thanks to the scholarship I was given the opportunity to do what I like. It means a lot to me. It isn't easy to learn far from home and my profession is very various, I need many tools and it isn’t a problem anymore and I can also buy specialized books for myself. I think it is very important that one does what one likes. With this opportunity I was given I can get the best out of myself. Thank you!

My name is Nemes Izabella Mónika, I was born in Miercurea-Ciuc, on 4th April 1995. I am the eighth and last child of Nemes Dénes and Nemes Ida. I have five sisters and two brothers. Together with my two brothers and one of my sisters we have been in state care since 2000. Currently I am studying at Márton Áron High School, with natural sciences specialization. I am in 11th grade.

Q: Why did you choose this specialization?

Nemes Izabella Mónika: I chose this specialization because I have been dreaming of becoming a doctor since kindergarten. I was very happy when I found out that I enrolled successfully for the reason that I am one step closer to my goal.

Q: Which are you favourite subjects?

Nemes Izabella Mónika: I have many favourite subjects; one of them is Biology, because I consider all the phenomena of the nature (plants, animals, even human body) very interesting, and because by this field of study we can get closer to our environment and ourselves. Beside, even if I don’t study anymore, I like psychology, since by this science and by being attentive we can understand the people surrounding us. It also teaches us how to behave with others in order not to hurt them, and it also influences our future personality. I like gymnastics because I can relax and discharge myself, and it also teaches us how to play in team.

Q: What do you like to do the most in you free time?

Nemes Izabella Mónika: In my free time I like to play music, I play the mandolin, I like to listen to music, to do sports, to ride bike, to play basketball, to ice-skate, and I also like to watch movies and read books.

Q: Why the mandolin?

Nemes Izabella Mónika: At the family house where I am living we were allowed to study to play an instrument, so I decided to play the mandolin. It is similar to the violin, but is has got double strings, and it is a plucked string instrument. I like it for the reason that it has got a nice tune, and you can relax while playing it.

Q: You mentioned your dream to become a doctor. Have you already thought about the field?

Nemes Izabella Mónika: Yes, I would like to enroll at University of Pharmacy and Medicine, Târgu Mureș, because I would like to become a paediatrician. One reason for it is that I like children; others are that I like helping people and this is a childhood dream.

Q: How do you picture yourself in ten years? Where do you see yourself?

Nemes Izabella Mónika: Actually I hope that by then I will have already become a doctor. I would like to work as a paediatrician. If I had the opportunity, I would like to work at home, because my siblings are here, and the labour force is needed in the country or in Szeklerland, but in case I couldn’t find a job here, I would go to Hungary.

Q: What does the foundation’s help mean to you?

Nemes Izabella Mónika: The foundation’s support helps me a lot for example in purchasing the important books for my studies. The foundation helps me continue my studies, which is very important to me. I would like to thank all the employees!
